November 24, 2010 - Eight-channel Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer features epoxy-free optical path, 20 nm channel spacing, and 300 mW power handling capabilities. Operating wavelength is 1,260-1,620 nm, with ±0.5 nm center wavelength accuracy. In addition to line monitoring, WDM networks, and CATV networks, intended applications include power distribution, FTTX, test equipment, and telecommunication systems. Capabilities specifically suit Metro Access and Metro Core/Regional network environments.

8-Channel Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer


Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has released its 8-channel CWDM intended for applications such as line monitoring, WDM networks, CATV networks, power distribution, FTTX, test equipment and telecommunication systems.

This 8-channel CWDM features low insertion loss, wide pass band, high channel isolation, compact package, an epoxy free optical path and high stability and reliability. It offers an operating wavelength range of 1260nm to 1620nm with a center wavelength accuracy of ±0.5nm. Its channel spacing is 20nm and power handling is 300mW. With such advantages as low cost, low power consumption, compact size and far wavelengths, the multiplexer is a cost-effective solution for Metro Access and Metro Core/Regional network environments where emphasis is on network nodes with fairly short spans.
