Janus Announces New Motor Operated Fire Door

(Temple, GA) Janus International has released an exciting new motor operated fire door system that allows dealers to buy very competitive fire protection with proven floor level testing and optional awning crank over-ride for emergency operation during power loss. Rated for up to four hours of protection on masonry or sheetrock walls, it also features the UL S label for smoke and draft protection. "The Model FD30MC fire door uses a ½ HP motor rated for 10 cycles per hour with standard gearhead reduction to reliably operate fire doors in openings up to 150 square feet in area," states David Dawdy, commercial products manager. "The limits are driven during drop testing and require no resetting, and there is no tension loss during activation. These features, coupled with a simple onboard mechanical disconnect, allow foolproof drop testing and resetting from any position within a matter of seconds."
