HITACHI HTA Press Conference Scheduled at IPC/APEX 2012 to Introduce High-Performance Sigma G5 Modular Mounter

The Production Systems Division (PSD) of Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc. (HTA), has scheduled an In‐booth PRESS CONFERENCE at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Booth #2440 at IPC/APEX 2012 at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California.

The purpose of the media event is to introduce the Sigma G5, Hitachi's next‐generation reconfigurable, modular mounter. It's flexible enough to change from a high‐speed
mounter to a high accuracy fine pitch placer in 30 minutes. It is the only mounter equipped with Over‐Drive Motion, exclusive technology that allows either placement head to pick components from either front or rear feeder cart without any restrictions.

Two quick‐change head types simplify and speed process engineering. Hitachi's patented Direct Drive Head offers the widest component handling range for the high speed head
(0402mm x 44mm² x 12.7mm); the multi‐function head provides additional flexibility for SiP, MCM and Flip Chip assemblies.

Press kits will be distributed to attendees, and a brief presentation/introduction to the machine will be followed by time for Q&A. IPC has allotted 30 minutes for the press conference. If you cannot attend at that time, please contact me so that an alternate showing of the machine can be arranged when time and customer traffic in the booth permits. For more information in advance, visit www.hitachi‐hta.com.
