Raleigh, NC, 27604
USA

Press release date: March 10, 2014

RALEIGH, NC– Stackpole now offers the RNS Series axial leaded ultra mini metal film resistors with a watt (0.5W) power rating in a traditional 1/8 watt (0.125W) axial leaded resistor package size. This complements the 1W and 2W parts previously available. The RNS is able to achieve this high power handling performance through tight manufacturing control of a unique power film alloy. The standard flameproof silicone coating enhances its usefulness at high power levels. In addition, the RNS series is capable of precision tolerances down to 0.5% and TCR's as low as 25 ppm.

Markets and Applications:
  • designs that require downsizing or added features
  • new designs that require the smallest form factor possible for a given power rating
  • home appliances
  • solid state power supplies
  • instrumentation
  • safety equipment
  • welding systems
  • robotics
  • industrial power and control
Pricing will vary depending on size, tolerance, and TCR and ranges from $0.015 to $0.045 each in full reel quantities. Contact Stackpole or one of our franchised distributors for volume pricing.
