Mykrolis Introduces Optimizer(R) C47 Housing and Membrane Disks

Newest Addition to Optimizer Line Minimizes Chemical Waste and Speeds Time to Production

BILLERICA, Mass., July 11 -- Mykrolis Corporation, a leading supplier of components and subsystems to the semiconductor industry, today introduced the Optimizer(R) C47, the latest addition to the Optimizer product line. The Optimizer C47 enables R&D evaluation of Mykrolis membrane technology for photoresist and advanced chemical filtration on a laboratory scale using small volumes of chemicals. Accommodating a wide variety of Mykrolis membranes, including hydrophobic and hydrophilic special clean membranes for applications requiring lower organic content, the C47 joins Mykrolis's Optimizer(R) line of test filters that enable rapid, accurate filtration testing and optimization and faster scale-up to production-volume membrane filtration devices.

"The introduction of the Optimizer C47 continues Mykrolis's commitment to help photoresist and advanced chemical manufacturers cost-effectively go to market in the shortest period of time with as little chemical waste as possible," said Linda Natale, product manager at Mykrolis. "The Optimizer C47's minimal hold-up volume reduces waste and its easy changeout allows for quicker particle analysis on the membrane. The Optimizer line caters to the demanding technical and business requirements of our customers."

The new Optimizer C47 will be on display at SEMICON West (Booth# 710/South Hall) in San Francisco from July 12-14, 2005. Mykrolis will also be displaying the Optimizer V47 disposable disk filter for R&D and labscale testing of specialty chemicals, including ARC and photoresists in instances where a disposable filter is needed. These will be shown along with the Optimizer D300/600 disposable filter.
