October 3, 2008 - Designed to turn long shaft-type workpieces, Richter manual steady rests are available in standard, special, and large ring styles, with diameters from .788-59.1 in. and load capacities ranging from 2-30 tons. Various models include gas springs, rotating, traveling, C-form, grinding, roller, and ring steady rests. Some feature electronic measuring device that allows steady rests to identify center of machine and sleeves.

Richter Manual Steady Rests from LMC Workholding


Logansport, IN - New Richter manual steady rests from LMC Workholding are specially manufactured to meet specific requirements for customer applications. Standard, special and large ring style steady rests are available with diameters from .788" to 59.1" and load capacities ranging between 2 to 30 tons.

Steady rests turn long shaft type workpieces where cutting can create unstable conditions or cause the parts to bend or deflect. Steady rests for grinding and for extra large workpieces are also available. The various Richter manual steady rest models include gas springs, rotating, traveling, C-form, grinding, roller and ring steady rests. Many of the Richter models feature an electronic measuring device that allows the steady rest to identify the center of the machine and the sleeves.
