Press release date: April 5, 2013

Spencer, Mass., – Dienes Corp., for 100 years a world leader in manufacturing cutting and slitting tools, is proud to announce the development of its new MD-Easy Set manual positioning device.

The MD-Easy Set combines Dienes’ reliable Quick Clamp mounting system with electronic positioning accuracy; essentially the MD-Easy Set replaces the need for a tape measure.

Now customers can put their knife holder in place and see the distance between that knife and another knife. The MD-Easy Set is perfect for anyone doing score-cutting or crush-cutting, providing a more efficient and accurate set-up.

The MD-Easy Set can go down to a half-inch slit width, and it can be retrofitted to any machine you desire. It also features push button activation with LED signals, and electronic set-up flexibility.

The digital Readout assisted positioning system simplifies and improves the manual positioning of cutting units, and it will replace the existing dovetail bar in a customer’s machine.

“This product is in response to many, many requests from our customers,” said Bill Shea, president of Dienes USA. “It’s going to make things a lot easier for them.”

The new MD-Easy Set will be debuting at the annual ICE Show from April 9-11 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
