New Strong-Mag Magnetic Lifting Frames Can Be Used in the Air or On the Ground

Fitchburg, MA (June 21, 2005) - Custom designed for specific lifting applications, new STRONG-MAG Lifting Frames from Simonds International help move metal sheets around plant facilities securely, safely and efficiently. STRONG-MAG Lifting Frames can be simply attached to an overhead crane or a fork lift and lowered onto the sheets to be moved avoiding operator contact with sharp metal sheet edges.

The two different models of STRONG-MAG Lifting Frames, overhead crane or "portable" forklift versions, can be designed to handle sheets of 4', 5' or 6' widths and lengths ranging from 8' - 12'. These flexible thin sheet permanent magnet lifting frames can be used with both flat steel and diamond plate steel with thicknesses between 25 gauge and 3/8".

Each STRONG-MAG Lifting Frame is custom built to size and outfitted with the appropriate number and types of magnetic elements based upon its anticipated use in the plant and materials to be moved. STRONG-MAG Lifting Frames are designed to deliver a safe working load with a 3:1 safety ratio. For maximum control and flexibility, these lifting frames come with three options for release mechanisms - manually switched, hydraulic switching or pneumatic switching.

Simonds International offers an extensive array of professional grade products including bandsaw blades, circular saw blades (SystiMaticâ„¢ brand), power hacksaw blades and power tool accessories including hole saws, annular hole cutters, reciprocating saw, hacksaw and jigsaw blades.
