This 10 W, 2-stage amplifier, fabricated using high-reliability pHEMT process, provides nominal gain of 24 dB with input and output return loss of 10 dB across frequency band. Features suit RF and microwave applications, such as repeater amplifiers, air traffic control and weather radar, and radio communication.

Fully Matched, Broadband Amplifier Allows Customers Easy Implementation in Multiple Applications

Lowell, MA – M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc.  (“M/A-COM”), a leading supplier of high performance analog semiconductor solutions, today announced a new MMIC power amplifier for high power broadband applications.

The MAAP-010168  is a two staged amplifier operating between the 500 MHz to 3.0 GHz frequency range.  The device is fully matched for input and output at 50§Ł, which eliminates the customers’ need for any sensitive external RF tuning components. Unlike competing products the MAAP-010168 boasts high reliability with added excellent efficiency and gain, providing a high power off-the shelf solution.

The MAAP-010168 is fabricated using a high reliability pHEMT process to realize higher power. The amplifier provides a nominal Gain of 24dB with excellent input and output return loss of 10 dB across the 500 MHz to 3.0 GHz band – altogether providing an excellent option for customers looking for high power solutions for their broadband applications.
