Featuring accuracy of ±.00005 in. TIR, C4T incorporates non-contacting and frictionless bearing isolator seal that consists of compound mechanical labyrinth with dual flow paths. Seal's inner section retains and recirculates bearing lubricant, while outer path captures outside contamination and expels it through port. Seal will never wear out under normal use, which includes service with high-horsepower lathes and grinders as well as applications involving extreme coolant pressures.

The First Live Center with Permanent Bearing Protection
The new C4T live center from Riten Industries features a proprietary bearing isolator seal designed exclusively for Riten by Inpro/Seal. Exhaustive testing indicates that the C4T will have at least three times the service life of standard centers, and that the non-contacting frictionless seal will never wear out under normal use. Normal use includes demanding service with high-horsepower lathes and grinders, and applications involving extreme coolant pressures. In all applications, the C4T has a guaranteed accuracy of ±.00005" TIR. The bearing isolator seal is a compound mechanical labyrinth with dual flow paths: the inner section retains and recirculates the bearing lubricant, while the outer path captures outside contamination and expells it through a port. The C4T and all other Riten workholding products will be on display in Booth #F2264 at IMTS 2008 in Chicago.
