Melville, New York, -- Leviton Manufacturing Company's revolutionary new Zipline(TM) Fixture Assembly Solution affords the fastest, easiest and most flexible way to manufacture linear fluorescent lighting fixtures on the market today. Zipline's groundbreaking design incorporates the ballast and lampholders in a single, self-contained assembly unit that installs in just seconds. This offers considerable labor- and cost-savings over traditional, more cumbersome multi-component ballast and socket designs.
Zipline mounts transversely into a molded, one-piece lampholder system, bypassing the need to install and wire ballast and socket components separately. Zipline's unique ballast, featuring Fulham Inc.'s superior technology, replaces traditional center-mounted ballasts and wiring assemblies, and provides manufacturers the freedom for any number of new photometric design possibilities within their fixtures. With Zipline's prewired ballast and lampholder assembly, manufacturers save time and eliminate common mis-wiring errors, wires loosening from sockets during assembly, shunt/non-shunt socket misapplications and other common quality issues.
