Due to beam shaping capabilities, L³ LIMO Line Laser® system produces intense, homogenous lines that, in combination with linear scanning processes, radiate surfaces evenly and efficiently. Performances from 40 W to 13 kW and more can be achieved, and line generators may be individually selected for different wave and line lengths as well as power densities. Available with either UV or green light (wavelength 355/532 nm), systems can also be used in laser lift-off processes.

More than 10 line generators in standard available capacity
It is literally a Dortmund jack of all trades with radiance: We aren't speaking about BVB soccer coach Jürgen Klopp, but about the L³ LIMO Line Laser® system. Its standard portfolio LIMO has expanded to over ten line generators. Thanks to patented beam shaping, L³ LIMO Line Lasers® produce very intense homogenous lines that - in combination with linear scanning processes - radiate surfaces evenly and efficiently. The process results are well received by the users, so by default there is now a broad offer of L ³ systems with performances from 40 W to 13 kW and more. Customers can also individually select line generators for different wave and line lengths as well as power densities.
"Process-developers - thanks to our much expanded standard portfolio - now obtain much faster than before the matching line laser for their specific application," Maja Thies, Solutions Manager Advanced Optical Solutions at LIMO Lissotschenko Mikrooptik GmbH, explains the essential advantage. "New features include a very compact 4kW laser for simultaneous plastic welding and a 13 kW laser to use in the coating and glass industry."
Thus, the company from Dortmund expands its success system L³ significantly. Thanks to patented LIMO beam shaping the L3 system is suited for continuous operation with intense and uniform irradiation of surfaces and functional coatings for many industries - from the automotive, electronics, coating industry and production of energy storage systems up to photovoltaics and display technology.
Users now can use these benefits in so-called laser lift-off processes, with which for example, flexible displays for smartphones and tablets can be produced. These mini plastic monitors arise from the laser-based detachment of a polymer film with an ultrathin layer of TFT (thin-film transistor-display) from a glass substrate. The laser lift-off generally is a proven technology for sustainable substrate separation in the production of extremely thin and high performing microelectronics. According to the different requirements and applications LIMO corresponds with two L³ systems with either ultraviolet or green light (wavelength 355/532 nm).
