February 8, 2013 - Measuring 25 in. wide, ALTITUDE™ Series includes Models ATL 180, ALT 240, and ALT 300 in lengths of 32 ½, 36 ¾, and 42 ¾ in. with 180, 240, and 300 diode configurations, respectively. Optics utilize IP66 constructed PicoPrism™ technology securely attached to internal heat sink modules, producing uniformity and visual comfort. Delivering 70–100 lm/W, units are available in 4,000 and 5,000 K color temperatures and 580 nm Amber for turtle-friendly applications.

This architecturally-relevant LED site luminaire is now available in a large size ideal for parking lots and roadways

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. – Kim Lighting, the premiere manufacturer of architectural outdoor lighting, announces the LARGE model of the award-winning LED site light, ALTITUDE ™, is now available.  Offered in three powerful lumen packages (ALT 180, ALT 240 & ALT300), the ALTITUDE™ boasts the highest low glare lumen package available in the market today at over 40,000 lumens. The ALTITUDE Large LED measures at 25”W and from 32 ½”, 36 ¾” and 42 ¾” L to provide an ideal solution for illuminating large scale applications such as parking sites, bridges and access roads. 

Recently awarded an IES 2012 Progress Report award, the ALTITUDE™ is specifically designed from the ground up to exploit the benefits of LED technology and features the innovative engineering, thermal management, and performance of Kim’s patented PicoPrism™ optics.  Featuring housing lengths that vary with the size of the lumen package, the ALTITUDE ™ was designed precisely to adapt to any application. The lengths vary with the quantity of PicoPrisms™ optics located in the large housing from 180, 240 or 300 diode configurations.   As the quantity of PicoPrisms™ increase the ALTITUDE ™ housing proportionally expands by simply changing the length of the extruded body. The result is a versatile, architecturally relevant luminaire that will scale to meet mounting heights from 20’ to 40’ for varied site and roadway applications all available in one versatile luminaire design.

The ALTITUDE™ Large luminaire is a natural fit for roadway and area applications. Constructed with a solid die-cast housing assembly in a sleek architectural profile, ALTITUDE™ can be mounted on a square or round pole in a choice of seven different mounting configurations and is available with optional horizontal and vertical slipfitter mounts.  The ALTITUDE™ Large is ideally suited to many applications in today's modern settings such as Commercial Offices, Retail, Schools, Colleges and Universities not to mention Municipalities, Port Authorities, Mass Transit and Arenas and Sports Complexes.

The ALTITUDE ™ was designed with the most advanced LED lighting technology to deliver energy efficiency, safety and security.   The high performance optic utilizes the patented IP66 constructed PicoPrism™ technology securely attached to internal heat sink modules producing incredible uniformity and visual comfort.  It is available in 4000K and 5000K color temperatures and Amber (580nm) for turtle friendly applications with standard Type I - V and Type R & L distributions and optional neighbor friendly optics for light trespass control.  The LED deck is strategically designed for maximum optical control giving designers the flexibility to specify distributions specific to their project’s criteria.

ALTITUDE™ die-cast components are produced from low copper alloy (<0.6% Cu) aluminum for strength, corrosion resistance and precise detail in a sleek architectural profile. Castings are internally reinforced to withstand extreme forces from wind, vibration and ice making the ALTITUDE Large an ideal solution for roadway and street lighting applications. Additional design features of the ALTITUDE™ include detachable PicoPrism™ modulates, quick disconnect wiring, optional wall mount and tool-less entry making the luminaire easy to install and maintain.  Further options of this versatile area luminaire include photocell technology, the latest in wiHUBB wireless controls and a choice of seven architectural finishes.
