Series of adjustable cam-guides support slide plate and seal it firmly against machined inlet seat. Cast-aluminum body and stainless-steel slide plate ensure material compatibility with chemicals, foodstuffs, and plastics.

Aerodyne's StopTight Knife Gate Valve Handles Dry Free-Flowing Materials


CLEVELAND -- Aerodyne, a specialist in solving dry material handling problems, announces the addition of the StopTight(TM) manual and pneumatic knife gate valves for dry solids, granules and powders. The StopTight KG Valve is ideally suited for discharging dry, free-flowing materials from gravity-fed hoppers, silos, mixers, screw conveyors and chutes. This valve is also an economical and reliable way to isolate airlock valves from hoppers during routine maintenance or emergency shut-downs. A series of adjustable cam-guides support the slide plate and seal it firmly against the machined inlet seat. The cast-aluminum body and stainless-steel slide plate make this valve suitable for a wide range of materials including: chemicals, foodstuffs, and plastics. The thin profile and tapped flanges allow this valve to go where most other valves can't.
