Industrial Gearbox Upgrade
Cone Drive is pleased to announce that its sister companies David Brown and Benzlers has recently improved its Series G industrial gearboxes range with the introduction of an additional size G22 (http://davidbrown.com/industrial-gearboxes.php). The Series G gearbox is now available in 8 sizes up to 1,860 kW capacity and combines the high performance characteristics which are typical of the range.
The introduction of the G22 was a result of extensive research conducted between the company and its worldwide customer base. The G22 has been designed to incorporate the same customer focused benefits that are a feature of the other sizes in the range, ensuring that the product provides maximum lifetime with minimum maintenance through the combination of high quality components, high specification sealing system and split case design.
The maximum output torque now available in the Series G range has been increased from 130,000 Nm to 162,000 Nm.
A further development of the Series G range has seen the recent introduction of a new fan and cowl design, which has greatly improved the Thermal ratings and allows the gear units to run cooler. The Series G gearboxes are available in parallel shaft helical units and right angle shaft bevel/helical units in double, triple and quadruple reduction gear stages and puts the Series G at the forefront of the medium to heavy duty engineering market.
