Developed for hydrocarbon binding and filtration capability, Agent-Q consists of non-woven composite fabric structure embedded with C.I.Agent solidifier and does not create any water flow restriction. In ASTM testing, average grab strength was nominal 60 lb and burst strength was nominal 70 psi. One layer handles water flow through-rate of 400+ gpm/m² at 2 in. water head, and multiple layers can be used simultaneously.

With its newest product, C.I.Agent Solutions of Louisville, Kentucky, is poised to revolutionize the hydrocarbon removal industry. Patent-pending Agent-Q is a non-woven composite fabric structure embedded with C.I.Agent solidifier. It was specially developed for its high hydrocarbon binding and filtration capability. Agent-Q creates no water flow restriction and is not dependent on water pressure. C.I.Agent Solutions expects its new product to dramatically increase practical applications for C.I.Agent on both water and land. Initial uses include drip pans, scuppers and spill remediation products, as well as filtration media.

C.I.Agent Solutions plans to incorporate versatile Agent-Q into current products, such as stormwater drainage systems and emergency spill remediation booms or blankets, to increase their efficiency and cost savings. Barrier booms, sheen booms, secondary containment products for utility industries, and water filtration products that require hydrocarbon removal will benefit as well. Agent-Q actually enhances the effectiveness of C.I.Agent, allowing the solidifier to be easily spread over a large area. It also enables users to save money, because less C.I.Agent is needed to accomplish a cleanup.
