New Humidity Sensor Series Offers Long-Term Stability and Multiple Packaging Options

Servoflo Corporation of Lexington, Massachusetts is pleased to offer the KFS Series of humidity sensors from Hygrosens of Germany.

The KFS Series is a relative humidity sensor using a capacitive polymer to measure humidity. Key features of the KFS Series humidity sensor include its excellent price-to-performance ratio, good linearity, low hysteresis, compact size and dew resistance. The KFS Series is also stable against chemical effects.

Measuring only 2.0 mm X 4.0 mm X 3.8 mm, the KFS-MSMD is a surface mount version with a better signal-to-noise ratio then monolithic integrated sensors. As one of the smallest discrete humidity sensors in the world, the KFS-MSMD is priced under $7.00 for 1,000 pieces. Because of its excellent linearity and low temperature drift, additional compensation circuitry is not needed. Typical applications include white goods, HVAC, automotive and other applications where long-term stability is crucial.
The KFS-140D is another model in a 2-pin package. This low cost sensor is suitable for climate monitoring, HVAC, and other environmental monitoring systems. With its robust design, strong performance is achieved over a wide temperature range from -30°C to 150°C. With pricing at approximately $9.00 each for 1,000 pieces, the KFS-140D measures 3.81 mm x 5.0 mm x 0.4 mm.

Other variations of the KFS Series are also available, including version with an integrated temperature sensor and various performance characteristics.
