1U X 2U Front Ends/Rectifiers Produce Up To 550 Watts With Hot Swap Capability

Coral Springs, Florida--- These new ultra-compact 1U X 2U front ends/rectifiers have output voltages of 48 or 54.4VDC at 550 watts, 24 or 27.2VDC at 500 watts or 12 or 13.6VDC at 450 watts. The RSG Series are rectifier versions while the SG/TSG Series are front ends in either hot-swap or chassis mount cases. The module cases are 1U (1.6”) high by 2U (3.3”) wide by 11 inches deep.

The hot-swap versions have an available 1U-high rack/shelf that holds up to four units, producing up to 2,200 watts total power. The units may be operated in a 3+1 redundant mode in the rack/shelf, producing up to 1650 watts output. A unique capability of this innovative rack system is that it permits dual A/B operation for both AC inputs and DC outputs if desired. This results in up to 1100 watts output for each half of the rack. Output ORing diodes in the modules result in glitch-free, hot-swap operation to provide continuous power to the load.

Other operating features include universal 85 to 264VAC input voltage range, power factor correction and a Class B EMI filter. The units have an auxiliary +5VDC, 100mA output, an integral LED status indicator, active current sharing and no minimum load requirement.

Control and monitoring features include enable/inhibit inputs; AC power fail, DC power good and overtemperature logic outputs and an analog current monitor output. An optional IC serial data output is available for monitoring operating functions. Protection features include overload, overvoltage and overtemperature protection.

Availability for the TSG/RSG front-end/rectifier modules is 4 weeks. The racks are ordered separately and are available from stock.
