Lamination Cutting at Highest Speed

GEORG technology enables extremely high output of more than 180 transformer laminations per minute

Special requirements within the international transformer industry ask for special solutions. After successful introduction of the economic TBA400 ecoline the technology and world market leader GEORG transformer division has launched a further high efficient transformer lamination cut-to-length line: theTBA400 highspeed.

More than 180 sheets can be produced per minute. For comparison: The TBA400 ecoline cuts 42 sheets with 2 holes or 84 sheets without holes. This performance could be achieved by reducing the number of strip positioning stops for cutting considerably.

Engineered for optimum output
Simultaneous cutting and punching: The shearing and punching aggregates can be positioned in an optimum way. This is possible as both shears of the TBA400 highspeed as well as one of the 2 V-notches and all four hole-punches can be displaced by CNC. This optimum way of tool positioning offers such an extremely high output. In addition this new line disposes of various new handling and automation features like the exact and widely designed material transport, automatic strip infeeding, octagonal decoiler and a 5 position STA(B) stacker. Up to 5 stacks with sheet lengths of maximum 2.200 mm can be perfectly produced.

“The new GEORG TBA400 highspeed is setting new standards in the high end range. The technical advantages are obvious and who akes use of them will expand his leadership towards competition” explains Bernd Peter Schmidt, managing director of GEORG transformer division. The first line of this type has been supplied to Dubai and is under installation.

GEORG transformer division
As technology and world market leader GEORG is always ahead in engineering and creativity. Advanced production lines and equipment for the transformer industry are the result. More than 900 lines supplied to well known transformer manufacturers worldwide underline their confidence in GEORG’s leading technology.
