New... FireSightŪ IP Capable, High-Temperature Camera System for Real-Time Inspection of Combustion Processes and Process Control

Trevose, PA, June 2009 - Lenox Instrument Company announces the addition of an IP net workable model to its line of FireSightŪ high-temperature boiler camera and furnace camera systems. The web browser enabled FireSightŪ IP model offers the user maximum flexibility and connectivity for viewing and recording real-time color video images of combustion and process control in boilers, furnaces, kilns and incinerators via a standard web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator or by integration into other video management systems.

The FireSightŪ IP model allows users to record camera output on a network connected PC, server, or digital video recorder and then easily access images remotely from any PC on the corporate network or the internet. The FireSightŪ IP is capable of generating two independently configurable IP, high picture quality, MPEG-4 video streams at up to 25 and 30 images per second (for PAL and NTSC respectively). This allows viewing and recording at different quality levels to save disk space and bandwidth. FireSightŪ IP cameras can be connected to the network using standard network CAT-5 cable.

The FireSightŪ IP high-temperature remote viewing system is capable of operating trouble-free in temperatures up to 4,000°F (2,204°C) and is ideal for use in power plants, steel mills, paper mills, glass plants, cement kilns, and incinerators. FireSightŪ IP Systems provide the highest color image clarity in the industry and are used to speed light off, evaluate flame intensity and patterns, and determine the status of igniters, view flame impingement, NOx emissions, CO and O2 imbalance, high unburned carbon (LOI), eyebrows, slag, clinker and ash build-up.

Lenox FireSightŪ IP Systems are available with either a 24-inch or 36-inch long lens assembly, in either direct or right-angle view configurations.

Each FireSightŪ IP System is designed, manufactured and serviced in-house by Lenox Instrument Company, and is backed by a two-year warranty.
