April 1, 2009 - Featuring hollow center and pull tab to facilitate insertion/removal, reusable masking plugs mask off threaded holes while providing protection for first thread with integrated flange. Products are molded from natural silicone rubber and come in sizes that fit standard imperial threads from ¼-20 to ½-13 and metric threads from M6-M20. While nominally able to handle temperatures to 600°F, EPDM Rubber versions are also available for applications where cure temperature is at/below 425°F.

High Temperature Masking Plugs with 1st Thread Protection


Alliance Plastic's new line of masking plugs are designed specifically to mask off threaded holes while providing protection for the first thread with an integrated flange. Additional, as an added feature the part is designed for easy insertion and removal with its hollow center and pull tab feature. The line offers parts that are designed to fit standard imperial threads from ¼-20 to ½-13 and metric threads from M6 to M20. Molded from natural silicone rubber they can handle temperatures up 600°F (315°C) with excellent durability to be used numerous times. For applications were the cure temperature is at or below 425°F (218°C), the complete line is available in cost effective EPDM Rubber. Both materials and all of the sizes are in stock and ready to ship from one of our nine company owned N. American distribution centers.
