Rhino series stand to be on display May 6-9 in Stuttgart, Germany

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- MetrologyWorks has announced the company will debut its new Rhino series heavy-duty rolling metrology stand at the Control International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance in Stuttgart, Germany May 6 to 9. The stands will be on display at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre in Hall 3 Booth 3603. This is MetrologyWorks' first major release of a product at Control.

For many years, there have been classic stand designs in the marketplace, but MetrologyWorks has taken the rolling stand design one step further with its Rhino series. With an emphasis on rigidity and toughness, MetrologyWorks' engineers have ensured that the stands deliver rock-solid performance when operators need it most. Typical applications for these metrology stands include use with portable measurement arms, laser trackers, optical trackers, theodolites, 3D imagers and scanners and laser projectors.

An industry first is the ability to upgrade a fixed stand to an adjustable moving column without requiring a new main tube. This allows customers to purchase a fixed height stand and upgrade to an adjustable stand in the future, if the need arises. "We found that many portable measurement arm customers originally purchase a stand that's the appropriate height, rarely if ever adjusting it. So, why pay for what you do not need?" said Joel Gorden, president of MetrologyWorks.

Other unique features include an extended double locking column clamp, power-ribbed column casting, a rigidity receiver in the base casting, a foot-pedal lock, an integrated laptop arm mount, a calibration artifact and laser tracker tooling holder locations. There is also an option to bolt on custom accessory plates for more unique applications.

MetrologyWorks produces the Rhino stands using the latest CNC technology at their production facility outside Kansas City, Missouri. The stands are available in a number of sizes and configurations as well as colors. They will begin shipping internationally in May.

MetrologyWorks is the premier source for Aftermarket Portable CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) probes, mounts, rolling stands, SMRs, Laser Tracker Tooling, Certified Artifacts and accessories. Their customer base consists of companies in the manufacturing community and include automotive, aerospace, defense, heavy equipment, machining and defense companies that utilize portable industrial 3D measurement technologies.
