October 28, 2005 - Series KHD evenly heats acrylic and other thermoplastic sheets to make straight-line bends for creating freestanding signs and other plastic-based structures. Tools consist of 2 rectangular aluminum bars, 2 temperature control switches, and aluminum retention units. Both bars contain electric heating element that provides uniform, continuous heat on either side of plastic sheet. Tools are available for bending sheets up to 144 in. wide and ¾ in. thick.

Heating Tool Bends Large Acrylic Sheets


Norwood, MA, October 18, 2005 - Kamweld Technologies, a leading provider of plastic welding and sheet bending products, has expanded its KHD line of tools for bending plastic sheets of long lengths and various thicknesses. The KHD tools evenly heat acrylic and other thermoplastic sheets in order to make fast, straight-line bends for creating freestanding signs and other plastic-based structures.

The KHD bending devices consist of two rectangular aluminum bars, a pair of high-precision temperature control switches, and sturdy aluminum retention units. Both bars contain an electric heating element that provides uniform, continuous heat on either side of a plastic sheet to allow smooth and precise bends. Typical applications for KHD bending tools include the manufacture of plastic signs, displays, and trade show exhibits.
