May 9, 2005 - Able to increase server density without increasing cooling requirements, Rear Door Heat eXchanger is designed to dissipate heat generated from back of computer systems. It attaches to customer supplied water and can dissipate up to 50,000 BTUs of heat from air exiting from back of full rack of servers before it enters room. Unit fits on IBM Enterprise 42U racks.

Overview

Increase server density without increasing cooling requirements.

The heat exchanger is an effective solution for a datacenter at the limit of its cooling capacity, with useable floor space available to add racks of systems. The heat exchanger is a more cost effective solution than adding another AC unit.

Features:

A water-cooled heat exchanger door is designed to dissipate heat generated from the back of your computer systems before it enters the room

An easy to mount rear door design that attaches to customer supplied water, using industry-standard fittings and couplings.

Up to 50,000 BTUs (or approximately 15 kW) of heat can be removed from air exiting the back of a rack full of servers

One-year, limited warranty1
