August 6, 2002 - ECTFE (Ethylene-Chlortriflurethylene/HALAR) rods exhibit hardness and creep resistance to wear and tear comparable to PA at room temperature. Permeation resistance to oxygen, carbon dioxide, chlorine gas, and hydrochlorid acid is rated 10 to 100 times better than PTFE. UV rays have no negative influence on properties. Rods are available in sizes ranging from 25.4 to 127 mm with lengths available from 2.440 to 1.220 mm, respectively.

ECTFE-Rods

ECTFE - RODS are available at once from the company GEHR Plastics, Inc. in Boothwyn. ECTFE ( Ethylene-Chlortriflurethylene ) also known as HALAR, exhibits extraordinary properties: hardness, creep resistance to wear and tear are comparable to PA at room temperature; also the permeation resistance to oxygen, carbon dioxide, chlorine gas and hydrochlorid acid is 10 to 100 times better than PTFE. Therefore, ECTFE is ideal for many applications in the chemical industry and because of its purity it can be used in the Semicon-Industry. ECTFE shows a very smooth surface and UV rays have almost no negative influence on its properties.

The rods are available ex stock in the sizes ranging from 25.4 mm to 127 mm, the length is 2.440 mm respectively 1.220 mm, other sizes are available on request.
