Green Power Supplies serve medical, IT, industrial applications.
July 20, 2012 -
Covering 45, 60, 80, and 110 W power levels, GRN series includes single-output versions that comply with ErP (Energy Related Products) Directive as well as versions with up to 4 outputs. There are 17 standard models at each power level, and all exhibit flat efficiency curve from 25-100% load. While standby power is less than 300 mW, average efficiency is over 87% for singles (12-48 V) and 85% for multiples (3.3 and 5 V outputs also available). Series operates from 85-264 Vac input.

Wrentham, MA - Power Sources Unlimited, Inc. announces the new GRN series of "green" power supplies. Available in both single and multiple output versions, these energy efficient component power supplies cover the 45, 60, 80, and 110 watt power levels. Complying with the energy saving requirements of the ErP (Energy Related Products) Directive, the single output versions offer high efficiency, high power density, and low standby power. The multiple output versions are available with up to four outputs and also offer high efficiency and low no-load input power in a compact, low profile package. The GRN series is well suited to a broad range of medical, information technology, and industrial applications and is designed for those seeking to reduce standby and overall power consumption.
Offering 17 standard models at each power level, the GRN series offers a flat efficiency curve from 25% to a 100% load. The use of innovative design techniques result in over 87% average efficiency for the singles (12-48V) and 85% for the multiples (3.3 and 5V outputs also available) while featuring less than 300mW standby power (larger than 1W multiples) allowing the singles to meet the ErP requirement of 87% and 500mW. Designed for convection and cooled applications, the GRN series operates from 0°C to 70°C with suitable derating above 50°C.
All GRN models operate from 85 to 264 VAC input, feature over voltage and overpower protection and are available open frame or with an optional chassis and cover. CE marked in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive, the GRN series conforms to CISPR11/22 level B conducted and radiated emissions, meets the EMC requirements of EN 61000-6-2 and EN 60601-1-2 and are safety certified to the UL, CSA and European versions of IEC 60950-1 (second edition) and ITE and IEC 60601-1 (second and third editions) medical standards.
Prototype quantities available < 1 week, production quantities from 8 weeks ARO.
