Housed in NEMA 4X rated enclosure, GASS(TM)-2040 prepares gas samples for analysis, removing acid mists, coalescable liquids, water, and particulates without altering concentrations of analyte gases such as CO, CO2, HCl, NOX, O2 and SO2. It processes samples containing 50% water at rates of up to 25 L/min, removing particulates as small as 1 µm, and reducing water content to dew point of -25°C. Heated coalescing filter with automatic drain removes acid mists before drying.

Perma Pure Elevates Sample Conditioning to the Stack with GASS(TM)-2040 System
Toms River, NJ (March 3, 2006) - Wet, hot, dirty, gases can be transformed into the dry, cool, clean samples for continuous emissions monitoring with the new GASS(TM)-2040 Gas Analysis Sampling System from Perma Pure. The system prepares demanding gas samples for analysis, removing acid mists, coalescable liquids, water and particulates without altering the concentrations of analyte gases. A stack mounting option increases accuracy and reduces costs.
The GASS-2040 processes samples containing as much as 50% water at rates of up to 25 liters per minute, removing particulates as small as 1 micrometer and reducing water content to dew points as low as -25°C. A heated coalescing filter with automatic drain removes acid mists before drying. Any ammonia present is removed by one of the system's dual ammonia scrubbers- a design that eliminates process down time when changing scrubber media. Next, the system selectively removes water directly from the vapor phase using patented Nafion® membrane dryers. Water-soluble analyte gases such as CO, CO2, HCl, NOX, O2 and SO2 are protected from loss through dissolution in condensate, and a much lower dew point is achieved than with chiller/condenser technologies. Drying is a continuous, self-regenerating process and no routine maintenance is required.
The all stainless, NEMA 4X rated enclosure is durable and resists corrosion, allowing it to be mounted directly on the stack flange. Drying samples at the source with a stack mounted system maintains sample integrity and eliminates costly, heated sample lines.
