Janus Announces Open Frame Terminus GSM/GPRS Wireless Terminal for Easy Integration.
Aurora, IL - October 2009 - Janus Remote Communications announces the release of the Terminus GSM864Q Open Frame module. This open frame design allows for easy integration into custom and/or existing design builds. Standard and GPS enabled versions with Python and FOTA capabilities are available. The Terminus is an intelligent GSM/GPRS control terminal that incorporates everything required for M2M capability in one compact, cost-effective solution.
In conjunction with the Telit GSM/GPRS modules, the Terminus GSM864Q can host and control wireless applications, minimizing the need for extra components. Alternatively, it can be used as a stand-alone and powerful GPRS modem with its intrinsic TCP/IP stack.
The open design allows for versatility of use in M2M Telemetry and Telematic applications including fleet and asset management, vending, security and alarm monitoring, maintenance and other applications.
