Larson Electronics Doubles Down on Popular Explosion Proof Fluorescent Light

Larson Electronics announced the addition of a 20,000 lumen fluorescent light fixture with Class 1 and Class 2 Division 1 UL listings.  Equipped with four T5HO bulbs within the same size and shape as a standard four foot, two lamp models, the EPL-48-216 offers twice the output of a standard hazardous area light with a very small increase in price.

Larson Electronics began shipping the EPL-48-216 explosion proof fluorescent light with 20,000 lumen output.  UL listed for Class 1 Division 1 and Class 2 Division 1 areas, this four foot fluorescent fixture packs four T5HO bulbs into a standard two lamp fixture.  With only a small increase in price and weight, the EPL-48-216 doubles the output of the popular EPL-48-2L T5HO fixture.

“Ultimately, we are saving the end user and the contractor money, since we are doubling the power of our 4 foot, 2 lamp explosion proof fluorescent light,” said Rob Bresnahan with LarsonElectronics.com. “End users are spending less money to get the power of 2 fixtures and contractors are installing one fixture instead of two.  Since our material costs to build this 4 lamp explosion proof light are significantly less than what is takes to build our traditional 4 lamp explosion proof fixture, we can pass the savings on to the customers.”

Larson Electronics manufactures a wide array of permanent mount and portable explosion proof lighting for hazardous area locations. You can learn more at LarsonElectronics.com or contact 1-800-369-6671 (1-903-498-3363 international).
