Gardner Bender's New 25' Cable Snakeâ„¢ Helps Users Overcome Fishing Challenges

MILWAUKEE (MARCH 2004) - Gardner Bender's new 25' Cable Snakeâ„¢ is making the often challenging job of fishing wires through walls, under carpets, over drop-ceilings, and in other tight locations easier and more efficient for electricians and do-it-yourselfers alike.

The effectiveness of the Cable Snakeâ„¢ is due to outstanding features such as low-memory wire technology; a low-profile, wedge-shaped tip; increased durability; compact size; and a formed handle that fits comfortably in the hand. An optional comfort-grip, over-molded ergonomic handle is also available. The Cable Snakeâ„¢ is especially well-suited for short-run
wiring jobs such as those associated with the installation of electrical boxes, outlets, lighting fixtures, doorbells, and security systems.

Gardner Bender's low-memory, carbon steel tape, which does not curl when extended, is one of the primary reasons the Cable Snakeâ„¢ is an excellent wire-fishing solution for non-
conduit applications. Standard fish tapes that are designed for use with conduit are "high memory" and often curl when extended, making fishing down walls or under carpets difficult if not impossible.

Another major advantage of the Cable Snakeâ„¢ is its low-profile, wedge-shaped tip that permits wires to be fished under carpets, through walls, and over drop-ceilings, without hang-ups. A handy rewind knob allows the tape to be wound up quickly and easily after each use. In addition, the compact size of the Cable Snakeâ„¢ allows it to be stored easily in a tool box.
Despite its compact size, the Cable Snakeâ„¢ has a pull rating of 100 lbs.
