Fire Station Alerting System Introduced by ComTech Communications

October 24, 2003

A fire station alerting system enabling control over sound and lighting has been introduced by ComTech Communications. The system enables company-based selective alerting in addition to whole-station alerting.

Responding to the needs of fire station personnel, ComTech Communications has developed its Model 10 fire station alerting system that integrates with existing station P.A. and lighting systems. The Model 10 overcomes problems associated with all station personnel being alerted to every call throughout the day and night.

Stations with multiple companies and/or gender issues benefit from control over which alerts are routed to specific dorm rooms. The Model 10 integrates with CAD, radio and wireline inputs. The system does not utilize proprietary hardware and allows for customization based on individual station needs.
