July 16, 2002 - Corrosion-resistant enclosure is suitable for use on blower/motor packages and in outdoor applications which require protection from elements. Bases are single piece, laminate reinforced fiberglass with flanged corners. Enclosure's tilt back clamshell design allows access to equipment from top and sides for maintenance and service. It can be fitted with locking hasp to limit access to interior for security and safety reasons.

New Weatherproof Clamshell Enclosures for Outdoor Equipment Protection Now Available
Diffused Gas Technologies, Inc. of Cincinnati Ohio, manufacturers of aeration equipment used in the water and wastewater treatment industries now offers its line of fiberglass enclosures for use on blower/motor packages and other outdoor applications which require the protection from the elements. The enclosures are made of fiberglass which provide years of maintenance free corrosion resistant service. The bases are single piece, laminate reinforced fiberglass providing a rigid mounting source for equipment or instrumentation which is being installed. The enclosure features a tilt back "clamshell" design. When the fiberglass hood is opened it allows access to the equipment from the top and all sides for easy maintenance and service. The enclosure can be fitted with a locking hasp to limit access to the interior for security and safety reasons. The enclosures are available in three sizes and can accommodate virtually combination.
The Diffused Gas Technologies, Inc. fiberglass weatherproof enclosures offer the user many design and service features not realized with fabricated metal units. These features include the following:
-Fiberglass construction does not require painting or annual maintenance since materials of construction are pigmented. Standard color is machine gray, but custom colors available in quantity.
-Base and hood feature single piece rigid construction.
-Location of hinge on end of unit allows full access to the interior for ease of maintenance.
-Base has flanged corners which allow for easy and secure mounting.
-Typical applications include remote instrumentation packages, small pumping units, small chemical addition systems, blower packages, and others which require the protection of equipment in isolated locations
