Gould Fiber Optics Announces a New Product Offering: 1X3 Polarization Maintaining (PM) Truly Fused Fiber Coupler/ Splitter

Millersville, MD, USA–Gould Fiber Optics, a leading worldwide manufacturer and supplier of premium passive fiber optic, planar components and integrated modules, announces it's new 1X3 polarization maintaining (PM) truly fused fiber coupler/ splitters. Gould's truly fused polarization maintaining (PM) fiber optic couplers/splitters offer a high extinction ratio with polarization launch into a single or dual axis (slow axis & fast axis). Built on Gould’s advanced high reliability fused biconical tapered (FBT) process and proprietary packaging platforms, the new 1X3 PM splitters have all the advantages and reliability of other Gould PM products (including harsh environment resistance). The tests have shown low excess loss and PDL, high PER (> 18dB) and very uniform split ratios. This compact device offers ultra low PDL, low excess insertion loss, low back reflection, and high extinction. Gould offers a wide breadth of pm products. The 1x3 PM truly fused coupler is ideal for use in fiber communication systems, gyroscopes, aerospace, laser, sensor, test and measurement applications.

“Gould engineers, technicians and other support staff are always looking for solutions for our customers.” Gould Technology General Manager Dr. Saeed Pilevar stated. “This further enhances our advantages in capacity, reliability, performance, and flexibility.”
