Mule Self-Contained Emergency Lighting Provides Up To Eight Hours Of Operation Time

Offers Maintenance-free Battery and Remote Capability

Providence, RI -- The KES Series of commercial/industrial emergency lighting units, now available from Mule Lighting, Inc., offers a minimum of 90 minutes—and up to eight hours—of operation time when power is lost. Featuring a self-contained, durable design, this fully automatic fixture draws from a premium grade battery, and provides both AC lockout and brownout protection. The hands-off battery design automatically recharges when necessary, reducing maintenance costs and increasing safety. The unit can be adapted with a self-diagnostics system to perform critical tests at regular intervals, with minimum manpower required.

"To ensure lighting for as long as possible during an emergency is of the utmost importance, not only to adhere to fire and safety codes, but also to keep your customers, employees and other visitors safe," explained Rob Cross, Vice President of Mule Lighting, Inc. "Our KES lights offer a minimum of 1.5 hours of critical operation time for maximum safety during emergency evacuations and power outages."

Available in both 6 and 12 volt models, Mule's KES emergency lights can be ordered with up to three glare-free lamp heads, mounted on a durable housing. The ETL listed unit features dual voltage 120/277 options with surge-protected circuitry, and an environmentally coated, solid-state charger. An energy efficient, durable LED (light emitting diode) bulb serves as charge rate/power on indicator.

KES units are fully compatible with Mule's Smartestâ„¢ self-diagnostics technology. This option assists with strict Fire Safety Code compliance by automatically running required functional tests of the emergency lighting system at 30 day intervals for a minimum of 30 seconds. Smartest allows for remote monitoring of battery voltage, lamp continuity, incoming power, and unit performance once every 10 seconds, immediately indicating failure in any component via an LED display. Smartest's 24-hour lockout feature allows the KES unit's battery to recharge after a power outage or diagnostic test, without indicating equipment failure.

KES Series emergency lighting units, available in either 50 or 100 watts, are powerful enough to run up to 10 remote light heads. The units can be customized with several options, including 120 or 277 VAC time delay, wire guards, and a three wire cord, to name a few.

Mule Lighting, Inc., is a custom manufacturer of quality lighting and battery related products, including Exit Signs, Emergency Lighting, Battery UPS Systems, Battery Chargers and Rechargeable Batteries. Mule's line of patented LED (light emitting diode) bulbs offers energy saving and cost-efficient alternatives to traditional incandescent lighting fixtures.
