Rotex Inc., a pioneer and global leader in the development of screening equipment and technology for the process industries, announces the addition of the MEGATEX XD(TM) Separator to its proven line of innovative dry separation equipment. The MEGATEX XD is specifically designed to meet the demanding screening requirements of high-volume applications.
The MEGATEX XD features a high capacity (25-50%) per square foot of screen cloth in a compact footprint, a screen deck slope of six degrees to meet demanding product specifications and maximize screen efficiency, and an external drive cartridge that allows continuous operation up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (205 degrees Celsius).
The unique elliptical-linear motion of the MEGATEX XD provides unsurpassed screening performance to accurately and efficiently handle course to fine separations from ¼" to 100 mesh (6.3mm to 150µm). This is accomplished through equal feed distribution to all screen decks, uniform bed depth across the entire screen surface, and aggressive blinding control using durable mesh cleaning balls.
The MEGATEX XD also features a patented Lift-Rail system with non-binding stainless steel cam activation for easy screen frame installation and removal. Newly developed easy press fit silicone D seals provide exceptional sealing between screen decks for fine separations.
In addition to its superior separating capabilities, the MEGATEX XD combines certain features for easy maintenance. A quick opening discharge door provides access to each individual screen deck for inspection and change-out. Single-deck screen changes may take only about 10 minutes. Servicing all 12 decks may take only two hours. The stacked multiple deck, tray-access design allows access to these individual screens without the need to remove all decks at once.
The MEGATEX XD has an easily accessible external drive located in the rear of the machine. It also houses a single reaction cartridge with two spherical roller bearings, designed for 200,000 hours of service, a support shaft suspension system with industrial U-joint bearings, and no maintenance, low, torsion center springs. An optional floor-mounted suspension stand is available for installations without overhead support.
The MEGATEX XD is ideal for applications that require high capacity throughput such as Agriculture, Plastics, and Chemical applications.
