September 18, 2002 - Auto Drop Hammer, offered as option for truck/trailer-mounted PowerProbe (or any drill rig with open, flat platform used for geotechnical sampling), can be used to meet ASTM Method D 1586-99 for penetration and split-barrel sampling of soils (SPT). Unit provides Environmental and Geotechnical Sampling in one package.

The AMS Auto Drop Hammer is an option that can be added to your truck or trailer-mounted PowerProbe, or any drill rig with an open, flat platform for geotechnical sampling. This Auto Drop Hammer can be used to meet ASTM Method D 1586-99, a standard test method for penetration and split-barrel sampling of soils, a method commonly known as "SPT."
