Trailers can be serviced at or above dock height due to Z-shaped deck design that helps minimize slope of lifting surface. Unique Z-Deck Truck Leveler Provides Full-Width Access to Virtually Any Load
Z-shaped deck improves safety and productivity
MILWAUKEE, Wis. (May 5, 2008) - An efficient supply chain can provide companies with a significant competitive advantage, but one area of concern that is often overlooked is the loading dock. Changes in the trailer industry, such as longer, wider and low bed trailers, directly affect productivity at the loading dock if loads are not efficiently and smoothly moved.
To provide full-width access to virtually any load, Rite-Hite is expanding its family of products that raise the trailer to the appropriate dock height for loading/unloading. In addition to the current ThinManTM Truck Leveler/Vehicle Restraint, Rite-Hite now introduces the Z-Deck(TM) Truck Leveler.
The Z-Deck Truck Leveler allows trailers to be serviced at or above dock height with a unique Z-shaped deck design that helps minimize the slope of the lifting surfaced, improving safety by keeping tires even and reducing the opportunity for trailers to move away from the dock.
The Z-Deck is surface mounted with easy installation and does not require a costly below-grade pit. Its low-profile, 1 5/8" collapsed height, allows a variety of trailers to be serviced at the dock, and integral, dual wheel guides provide consistent trailer alignment at the dock.
In addition to the Z-Deck, Rite-Hite is also introducing Collapsible Wheel Risers and offers other wheel riser product solutions to raise the trailer to dock level for smooth loading/unloading.
Additional Wheel Riser products include:
o Collapsible Wheel Risers improve trailer serviceability with two specifically designed heights to safely access the trailer and are hydraulically position prior to trailer positioning.
o Adjustable Wheel Risers have a support design that allows the riser height to be adjusted before or after installation.
o Pit Filler has a unique bridge design that spans drains and sloped drive approaches.
o Static and Custom Wheel Risers allow trailers to be serviced at optimal position just above dock height.
