Scaletron Industries Introduces New Scale: The Economic Model 2305 Offers Versatility and Accuracy
Plumsteadville, PA -- Scaletron Industries, Ltd., a manufacturer of corrosion resistant digital and mechanical scales, has announced the addition of the Model 2305(TM) Digital Single Cylinder Eco-Scale designed to provide a lower cost and more versatile solution for weighing chemicals used in water and wastewater treatment applications. Available in both electric and battery powered versions, the Model 2305(TM) can weigh cylinders up to 10.5 inches in diameter and 150 pound capacity.
"The Model 2305(TM) Digital Single Cylinder Eco-Scale is exceedingly versatile because it is offered in a battery operated version, meaning it is ideal for remote locations, such as secluded well sites, where electricity is not available," said Edward Dougherty, president of Scaletron Scales. Additionally, it's both economical and environmentally-friendly. "The Model 2305(TM) is the most economically priced scale in Scaletron's line, and it features a digital readout, ensuring accuracy in chemical weighing applications. The battery powered version operates on a rechargeable battery pack, which means there is less waste associated with operating the scale."
The Model 2305(TM) provides excellent accuracy of ± 0.5% of capacity and allows users to monitor chemicals in either pounds or kilograms. To provide protection from corrosive chemicals, the electronics are housed in a NEMA 4X, UL approved enclosure that can be remote mounted up to 200 feet from the scale base frame.
Additionally, the Model 2305(TM) features rugged steel construction protected by a corrosion resistant finish, solid 1/8" PVC decking for use in harsh environments, a low profile platform design that increases safety and ease of cylinder handling, and a simple one load cell design.
Options for the Model 2305(TM) include either the rechargeable battery powered or electrically powered versions and remote mount, low level relay contacts.
The Model 2305(TM) Digital Single Cylinder Eco-Scale is designed to accurately measure weight of ammonia, carbon dioxide, hydrogen chloride, liquefied chlorine, sulfur dioxide and other liquid gases used in a variety of applications including wastewater treatment, municipal water treatment, and industrial process water treatment.
