Kyocera Mita America Extends Line of Powerful, Cost-Efficient Digital Imaging Systems for Workgroups of All Sizes

Introduction of KM-2050 provides workgroups ability to produce professionally finished documents cost-effectively with Standard Network Print and Best in Class 150,000 page Drum Yield

Fairfield, New Jersey – September 1, 2004 - Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today introduced the KM-2050 digital imaging system. This feature-rich device joins the recently launched KM-1650, extending Kyocera’s line of quality, cost-effective digital imaging solutions to meet the wide variety of needs of small offices and workgroups.

The KM-2050 incorporates an extensive list of technical and standard features intended to increase the productivity of any office environment. The KM-2050 includes two 300-sheet paper drawers, a 50 sheet multi-purpose tray (MPT), 64MB of standard print and copy memory (upgradeable to 256MB for copy, 320MB for print), electronic and rotate sort, scan to e-mail (PDF, TIFF), scan to file (PC/Mac) and TWAIN scanning.

Standard network print is driven by a best in class PowerPC750/300 MHz processor and Fast 1200 dpi print resolution. The KM-2050 supports major page description languages, including Kyocera’s PRESCRIBE, PCL 6 (XL, 5e) and KPDL3. Additionally, the device can include the optional Super G3/Network fax system – which allows users to send and receive faxes from their desktop.

The device also offers an impressive list of options, including a 50-sheet document processor, stackless duplex, 300 sheet paper drawers, internal finisher and a job separator. The KM-2050 accepts 16 to 28 pound Bond via the drawers and 13 pound Bond to 90 pound Index via the MPT.

The KM-2050 comes with long-life components including an OPC drum (up to 150,000 prints) and is backed by the most comprehensive warranty in the industry.

The KM-2050 digital copier is available through authorized Kyocera dealers with pricing starting at $3,545 (MSRP). The unit measures 22.6" (W) x 23.3" (D) x 23.9" (H) and weighs approximately 120 pounds.
