DVEO Announces U.S. Introduction of Cable RF Receiver, Recorder and Analyzer

Pocket-Sized DiviCatch RF-C Also Sends Transport Streams Over IP

San Diego, CA -- DVEO, the broadcast division of CMI, today announced the U.S. launch of the DiviCatch RF-C transport stream capture and analysis tool from Enensys Technologies SA. DVEO is the exclusive U.S. reseller of Enensys products.

Designed for broadcast test and measurement applications, the DiviCatch RF-C is a pocket-sized digital cable RF receiver that combines demodulation, recording, and analysis capabilities. It monitors and offers program re-broadcasting, measures RF reception quality, and tests broadcast coverage.

The software bundled with the device provides a real-time constellation diagram - a graph that instantly shows the broadcast signal quality. The distance between the points indicates transmission errors.

SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio), MER (Modulation Error Ratio) and EVM (Error Vector Magnitude) measurements also provide accurate indications on the signal modulation quality. Complete MPEG-2 and RF analysis software is included, as well as a text-based command package ideally suited for automated testing purposes.

The DiviCatch RF-C is the latest addition to the Enensys DiviCatch USB adapter product line. In addition to the RF input, the DiviCatch RF-C also features an ASI input. It includes all of the standard DiviCatch capabilities: Live or scheduled stream recording, stream forwarding over IP, and MPEG-2 monitoring.

The DiviCatch RF-C is just over five inches long and weighs less than six ounces. It features a metallic housing, making it ideal for field testing or demos.

"We are proud to have DVEO as our U.S. distribution partner," said Regis LeRoux, the President and CEO of Enensys Technologies SA. "Our products are quite popular with DVEO customers -- we believe they will find the DiviCatch RF-C to be very useful for testing and monitoring."
