Atlas Die Change Packages Expedite Stamping Press Changeover

Complete die change equipment packages for fast changeover of small to medium-tonnage stamping presses are available from Atlas Technologies, Inc. (Fenton, MI), a leading supplier of pressroom automation equipment and stamping systems. Retrofit packages include Atlas proven Lif-T-Rol die lifters for raising die subplates and rolling them out of or into the press. The die lifters fit into standard T-slots in the press bolster. Packages come complete with a manually-operated air/hydraulic pump and operating valves, manifold kit, pressure switch and gauge, mounting hardware and die locating blocks. Retaining rails for the die lifters are available for applications where there are no T-slots.

Removable or swivel-type bolster extensions are also optionally included in the modular package. Bolster extensions are horizontal arms with rollers that are attached to the press bolster and allow dies to be rolled off of the bolster for die change. They can also be used as a bridge between the press and a die table or die cart.

Packages are designed for bolster sizes from 18" X 36" to 36" X 60", handling die weights from one to six tons.

Atlas Ledge Clamps secure and position the bottom of a die subplate during press operation, with fast release of the subplate during die removal/changeover. The clamp unit is also a guide rail, ensuring accurate alignment of the subplate and die.

Atlas Technologies was an early pioneer of die cart technology and is now a global leader in the field, with more than three decades of pressroom automation experience.
