Better Pictures, Smaller Files with Xeno XDR2

Reading, UK - Xeno has now launched the XDR2 range of DVRs designed using the latest H264 video compression technology. Providing up to 25% space saving over MPEG4 compression, the DVRs offer a longer duration of storage on the same size disk.

The range comprises of 4, 8 and 16 channel units offering 200ips, all with the same look and feel, ideal for projects where multiple sites with different numbers of cameras are required. RS485 telemetry allows for the control of all leading CCTV domes, while set up and operation is simple and intuitive using the mouse control. Archiving options include internal DVD writer, USB memory stick and USB HDD. Search functions comprise of time bar search, calendar (date & time) and event/system search.

Andrew Pigram, Norbain's technical director, comments: "The XDR2 family of DVRs offers an excellent option for those installations where budgets are tight, but quality can't be compromised. As with all Xeno products, it offers a low cost, but highly reliable solution for those applications that don't require a huge feature set."
