Powered by 1.1 GHz Intel® Atom™ Z510PT or 1.33 GHz Z520PT and Intel US15WPT chipset, rBOX111-4COM supports operation from -40 to +70°C and comes in IP30 aluminum and steel enclosure. Unit passes EMI/EMS testing requirements and features 4 isolated RS-232/422/485 ports as well as 2 isolated Gigabit Ethernet ports. Features also include Mini Card slot and SIM card socket for wireless connection (3G/GPRS or WiFi), RTC battery, diverse interface options, and DDR2 SO-DIMM socket (2 GB max).

Taipei, Taiwan – Axiomtek rolls out its new DIN-rail fanless ruggedized embedded system with extra low power Intel® Atom™ processors Z510PT 1.1 GHz/ Z520PT 1.33 GHz and Intel® US15WPT chipset, the rBOX111-4COM. Set out to meet the critical demands of almost any rugged environment, this compact unit supports wide temperature range and features 4 isolated COM & 2 isolated Ethernet ports, wireless (3G/GPRS or WiFi) connection, fanless & cableless design, RTC battery function, 2 watchdog timers and many more waiting you to find out.

Isolated Port Design
To prevent ESD and over-voltage, this compact-size unit is equipped with four isolated RS-232/422/485 ports and two isolated Gigabit Ethernet ports for offering magnetic isolation protection.
To address demand for wireless connection (3G/GPRS or WiFi), Axiomtek have made available one Mini Card slot and one easy-to-access SIM card socket on top side allowing convenience maintenance and fast installation.
RTC (Real Time Clock) Battery
The RTC battery (battery onboard & gold-capacity onboard) provides power for the internal real time clock & calendar and is ideally suited to vibration environment. In addition, the gold-capacity onboard would be 1st backup battery without consuming battery onboard when power shut-down which reduces maintenance efforts.
This compact system adopts an IP30-rated aluminum and steel enclosure. Its significant anti-vibration design can endure up to 5g (with CF & SSD) and anti-shock design can endure up to 50g (half-sine shock pulse; storage/ transport). To work in harsh environments, it is specifically designed to be operating in extremes of temperature ranging from -40°C ~ +70°C.
Safety & EMI/EMS Compliance
The rBOX111-4COM meets Safety Agency requirements and has passed heavy industrial EMI/EMS testing to provide high operational reliability and stability.
Intelligent AXView & SNMP V1/V2c
This rugged platform features SNMP V1/V2c support for secured network management. In addition, the “AXView” monitoring software package help customers build their own management systems easily and quickly.
The rBOX111-4COM adopts two power paths and 12 - 48VDC power input with a terminal block. More Interfaces include two USB 2.0, audio (Line-out/Line-out) and VGA ports. It has one DDR2 SO-DIMM socket maximum up to 2 GB and powerful storage interfaces including one 2.5” SATA SSD or HDD drive bay, one easy-to-access CompactFlashTM and one SD card up to 32 GB (optional). Pre-installed with Linux, Windows® CE 6.0 or Windows® XP Embedded, the system provides programmers with a friendly environment for developing application software at a lower cost.
Axiomtek’s rBOX111-4COM will be available in the middle of December, 2012. In addition, the released rBOX101-4COM/6COM (with Atom™ Z510PT/Z520PT & 4/6 isolated COM), rBOX103 (with Atom™ Z510PT/Z520PT & 2 isolated CAN Bus), and rBOX201-4COM/6COM (with AMD LX800 & 4/6 isolated COM) are all now available with wireless connection (3G/GPRS or WiFi). Especially, rBOX111-4COM & rBOX101-4COM/6COM have pre-tested EN50121-4 standard for railway application.
