Featuring polymer concrete base that minimizes effects of temperature and vibration, cylindrical grinders come in IPRO internal models, XPRO external models, and CPRO simultaneous internal/external versions. Machines incorporate hydrodynamic and hydrostatic guide systems, and use absolute linear encoders for exact positioning within 0.0001 mm. High-frequency spindles from 6,000-180,000 rpm are available, and high-speed grinding up to 120 m/s can be achieved using CBN technology.

Bahmüller PROline Cylindrical Grinders
Bahmueller Technologies, Inc., based in Pineville, NC has introduced the PROline of cylindrical grinders to the North American Market. The IPRO (internal), XPRO (external), and CPRO (simultaneous internal/external) line of machines are well suited for high-volume production environments and can be provided as turnkey systems. A polymer concrete base minimizes the effects of temperature and vibration and serves as a solid foundation for building a high-precision machine. BAHMUELLER incorporates hydrodynamic and hydrostatic guide systems as part of the machine construction. The use of absolute linear encoders allows exact positioning within 0,0001mm. Modular cross-slide construction makes it possible to simultaneously grind internal and external features on the CPRO machine. High-frequency spindles from 6,000~180,000 rpm are available. High-speed grinding up to 120m/s can be achieved utilizing CBN technology. Part specific integrated part-handling and measuring systems are available as options. BAHMUELLER grinding machines are equipped with the Siemens 840D controller connected to 611D digital drives.
