FORM-A-GROOVE(TM) tooling consists of customized form tools capable of generating complex profiles in one plunge. Specifically, tools can consist of combinations of simple grooves or more complex combinations of grooves, arcs, angles, convex, and concave radii. They can be composed of stacks of individual inserts or one carbide block up to 2 in. wide. Available in 1 in. round and ½, ¾, and 1 in. square versions, products can be coated with TiN, TiCN, TiAIN, or Diamond film coatings.

New THINBIT® FORM-A-GROOVE(TM)
THINBIT®, manufactured by Kaiser Tool Company, introduces an expansion to its cutting tool line-up. Using FORM-A-GROOVE(TM) tooling, THINBIT® can customize form tools to generate complex profiles in a single plunge.
FORM-A-GROOVE(TM) tools can consist of combinations of simple grooves or more complex combinations of grooves, arcs, angles, convex and concave radii. Tools can be composed of stacks of individual inserts or a single carbide block up to 2" wide. THINBIT's Application Engineers will design the tooling based on customer's exact requirements.
FORM-A-GROOVE(TM) tools can simplify programming, increase production and free tool locations for other tools. Delivery starts at 5 working days with minimum orders of 3 pieces.
Toolholders are available in 1" round and 1/2", 3/4" and 1" square for internal and external applications. FORM-A-GROOVE(TM) can be coated with TiN, TiCN, TiAIN or Diamond film coatings.
