Low Maintenance Tower Packing Suits All Cooling Towers, Including Power-Gen and Wastewater Treatment

Owosso, MI. May 25,2005. Tri-Mer Corporation, a manufacturer of air pollution control systems and packed tower scrubbers, has introduced a line of lightweight cooling tower packing that's compatible with all tower types and sizes used commercially.

Tri-Packs CT is a high-efficiency cooling tower media that facilitates continuous formation of droplets throughout the packed bed, producing maximum cooling efficiency. The distinctive shaping of ribs, struts and drip rods gives the media excellent wetting characteristics, and maintains uniform liquid distribution throughout the tower.

Tri-Packs CT media eliminates puddling too, because it's free of corners and valleys. It also prevents dry spots and compression interlock, two phenomena common to traditional cooling tower media. Both conditions cause liquid and air channeling and diminish cooling efficiency.

Tri-Packs CT cooling tower media is lightweight, and random-dump. It is manufactured of 100% virgin polypropylene, which makes it corrosion-proof and resistant to the broadest range of chemicals, as well as extreme ph.

The media's lightweight simplifies handling, and can make possible the installation of new cooling towers in places - such as rooftops - that would be impractical if total tower weight were substantially higher.

Tri-Packs CT tower packing provides the optimum surface-to-open-area ratio for best mass transfer efficiency and lowest operating cost. Depending on the application, it is supplied in one of four sizes. In addition to polypropylene, the media is manufactured in KYNAR ® and glass-filled polypropylene.
