June 3, 2011 - Made of aluminum nitride, CeramCool® Box provides efficient cooling for extreme packing densities. Temperature profile is consistent, with thermal conductivity of greater than or equal to 170 W/mK. Electric conductors are placed directly on ceramic heat-sink, forming permanent connection without thermal barriers or risk of delamination. At 1 mm, walls minimize distance between coolant and heat source to optimize heat transfer. Cooling water connections consist of one inlet and outlet.

CeramTec's CeramCool® Box - Efficient Cooling for Extreme Packing Densities


CeramTec's compact CeramCool® Box offer efficient cooling for extreme packing densities. Made of Alunit® (aluminum nitride), it offers a consistent temperature profile with a thermal conductivity of ≥ 170W/mK. The electric conductors are placed directly on the high-performance ceramic heat-sink. A permanent connection is formed without thermal barriers and without the risk of delamination.

The CeramCool® Box walls are 1mm. It enables the coolant to get closer to the heat source than any other concept with a comparable lifetime system. Excellent heat transfer from the heat source to the coolant is guaranteed. The cooling water connections for the CeramCool® Box consist of only one inlet and outlet for easy manageability. The high-performance ceramic heat-sink is great for applications within an aggressive environment.
