May 22, 2009 - Able to eliminate popcorn slag, pans, and apron conveyors, GK dry slag system is available in custom widths and lengths to fit unique process and space requirements. Slag is conveyed and transformed into pancake slag on cooling deck conveyor and can immediately be containerized or discharged to quench tank. Proprietary cooling trough technology consistently maintains product temperature, and resulting granular material can be used for aggregate in other industries.

GK Introduces New Dry Slag Cooling Process


General Kinematics all new dry slag cooling conveyor eliminates popcorn slag, pans, and apron conveyors. With the GK dry slag system, slag is conveyed and transformed into pancake slag on GK's patented cooling deck conveyor and can immediately be containerized or can be discharged to a quench tank. Units are available in custom widths and lengths to fit your process.
