Centralized Building Control: The New L Connection Network Building Controller

(DALLAS, TX-July 8, 2002)-Lennox Industries has released an innovative new component for the popular L Connection™ Network commercial control system. The new L Connection Network Building Controller can combine the controls for your building's HVAC system, sprinklers, lights, and security system into this one single control.

The easy-to-use Network Control Panel network manager or software package, also part of the L Connection Network, serves as the operation interface for the building controller. A heartbeat LED conveniently displays the controller's operation status. Up to twelve controllers can operate on the L Connection Network at one time.

"The controller is easy to install, set-up, and operate," said John Whinery, director, commercial marketing. "It does not require complex configuration or programming for scheduling outputs or displaying inputs."

A variety of inputs and outputs allow the controller to interface with many of the building's major systems and schedules, including HVAC, sprinklers, lighting, and security. Additional features include load shedding, vent hood and exhaust fan control, building wake up/shut down, and overrides based on temperature and/or analog input. Units can be switched to either occupied or standby modes as well.

"The new building controller provides the highest level of control over buildings while simplifying the job of facility management," said Whinery.

With the most exciting technology, a range of features ease installation and maintenance, superior efficiency, on-time delivery and superior customer service, Lennox has the solution for every commercial comfort need.
