Adding A300SE+ for Carbonated Soft Drinks Sector

Domino, global leader in coding, marking and traceability solutions, is building on the remarkable success of its A-Series - the world's best selling continuous ink jet printer - with the addition of the A300SE+. The new system is designed to print multiple lines of code on beverage products manufactured in the harshest of environments. The high speed A300SE+ answers the beverage industry's need for high-quality coding printed on a variety of substrates by a machine whose reliability isn't compromised by adverse operating environments.

"In environments like carbonated soft-drink plants the air is heavily laden with sugar and the inside of machines, including electronic circuitry, can get 'candy coated'," explains Nick Plaister, product director of continuous ink jet at Domino. "Over time, a layer can build up which potentially becomes conductive, meaning that the performance of the equipment can be impaired. The IP66-certificated A300SE+ is the perfect solution for such environments, as it does not use ambient air for cooling. Therefore, it protects itself from long term damage unlike other coding products for the beverage industry on the market."

The A300SE+ Duo variant offers the capability to print two lines of text at the speed of a single line, or, four lines at the speed of two lines in a variety of print formats on various substrates. Furthermore, to add to its combination of efficiency-enhancing benefits with long-term reliability, it can also be used in conjunction with remote touch panels, meaning that it can be operated from different locations around the plant or directly from the machine control panel. The improved user interface also increases accuracy and eliminates costly training overheads by guaranteeing simplicity and ease of use, while installation is assisted by familiar set-up wizards that reduce the chance of error.

'The beverage market is a very important one to Domino,' continues Nick. 'Domino has designed the A300SE+ to reflect customer needs and optimise equipment performance in their factories.'
